This final project was very interesting, and kind of opens your eyes on how you can animate things or portray a message. For this particular project, I went with a kid like character. Made it simple with an happy expression and gave him that carefree attitude in his step. The cool part was easily the creating the character, the hard part was bringing him to life. I did it in photo shop, which turned out to be a bad idea, you can easily see the raster effect on the legs. I fixed it towards the end as you can probably point out the vector v raster objects.

Kinetic Typography

new project that may have met Mr. Crunch. Will be further developing this, cause I can see this going a lot further. The idea behind the piece was a simple geometry and trying to capture that love feeling. The coolest part to me was the use of speakers to really emphasize the base in the song. Without them, the piece seems kind of dull.

Interface Design - Print Ad Inspiration

On this one, I really liked the color choicese and the free flowing attitude of it. I also took from it the central theme and made my graphics flow to the center. It is once again simple, but I feel it is necessary to pull it off.

This idea came more from the certain aspect of the song rather than a meaning or lyrics. The part I take from is the towards the end ( 4:00-5:55 ). Its a part where the song breaks from the low tone and very mellow attitude and kinda launches itself into a new feeling. I felt the best way to follow this, is through a semi-abstract breakthrough image. Overall, this is the most simplest form of the website I played with.

Interface Design - Movie Inspiration

Adding the finishing touches to my 4 interface designs, the idea for this one was based off of the movie Gladiator. The main thing I took from it was that dirty worn down, dusty feel of this picture that represents the movie as well. Much of the main emphasis is in the colors and the background and divisions.

Island Illustration Friday

The idea for this illustration, as most can probably figure is the island of nature. This was done through Photoshop and my new love tablet. I had drawn the tree by hand and the buildings on the tablet. After the fact, I realized I should have done it probably all by hand and and together, cause there is a definite disconnect with the tree and background, just can't seem to merge them. Other than that, I enjoyed working on it, but could definitely see myself scraping and starting all over.
